How to see a doctor and precautions 

All foreign students should have medical insurance for studying in China. When you need to see a doctor, be sure to call 4008105119 first to ask how to see a doctor and how to reimburse. 

1. International students can choose the community hospital and all the online public hospitals posted on www.lxbx.net.

Hospital near the campus: 小塘医院、南海经济开发区医院、罗村医院. 

2. After arriving at the hospital, please choose to register an ordinary number. You cannot select the special needs number, foreign guest number, international medical Department, etc. 

3. The registered name must use the passport name. If you use a Chinese name for medical treatment, you need to provide proof of the person with the same name as the passport when reimbursing. 

4. Select "Commercial Insurance" or "Self-pay". 

5. After successful registration, please go to the corresponding departments in the hospital. 

Matters needing attention 

 Outpatient  clinic

（1）Cases. Be sure to ask the doctor to write outpatient records and keep them for each visit.

（2）Invoice. Note that two stamps are required on the invoice. Collect the official invoice and check to see if there are two stamps on it. 

（3）Laboratory tests, inspection reports, prescriptions. These necessary documents should be submitted together When Reimbursement.

Hospitalization

（1）If you need hospitalization, first call 4008105119 and provide your insurance card number and admission notice. You can apply for insurance company advance payment.

（2）First choose network hospital for hospitalization. 

（3）If you are hospitalized in a non-network hospital at your own expense, you should call the insurance company in advance to get their medical guidance. When seeking medical treatment, you should also explain the reimbursement requirements to the doctor, and ask the doctor to minimize the use of some self-financed and partially self-financed medicine. 

Reimbursement

Reimbursement after hospitalization requires the hospital to provide information including the original invoice (seal), the original cost details list, the discharge summary or the copy of hospitalization medical record, and the reimbursement application (application form—please inquire the insurance company) stamped by the office of the International College.

Go to www.lxbx.net. Scan and upload all documents to enter the insurance claim process.

Reminder

1. Proper personal protection measures such as wearing masks in public, washing hands frequently are still necessary to flu prevention.

2. When purchasing food, pay attention to the production date and the expiry date; Do not purchase food from unlicensed vendors.

3.Eat less snacks, fried or smoked foods. Pay attention to personal hygiene, wash hands before meals and cultivate good dietary hygiene habits.

4.Maintain your health and prevent cold-related illnesses and other infectious diseases.  It is advised to prepare warmer clothing such as jackets, trench coats, cotton-padded clothes, down jackets and duvet.
