On June 11, the press conference on Foshan COVID-19 prevention and control was held, briefing the prevention and control measures during the Dragon Boat Festival, and encouraging people not to leave the city and the province unless necessary.

Transportation

Starting from 12 pm, June 7, all people leaving Foshan and Guangdong province are required to present a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours. According to the Transportation Bureau of Foshan, passengers must present a green health code when taking public transportation, while passengers with red or yellow code will be prohibited from boarding public transportation.

From June 7, Foshan has suspended cross-province long-distance services in all passenger terminals.

Culture & Tourism

According to Foshan Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, all types of large-scale events such as matches, trainings, concerts and exhibitions,etc. have been suspended; all indoor venues of culture, tourism and sports have been closed temporarily; travel agencies are not allowed to organize tours out of the city or receive any tourists groups coming to Foshan.

All types of cultural and tourist public venues located in the medium and high-risk areas and the lockdown areas shall be closed temporarily. Public cultural facilities and the outdoor spaces of A-level tourist sites in other areas shall not accommodate more than 50% of the maximum capacity.

Dine-in Service

On June 11, Sanshui District and Gaoming District respectively issued the notice that all restaurants shall stop providing dine-in services, and may provide take-away services either on-site or through orders. They may also provide dine-in services by catering customers in separated rooms, with the prerequisite of no more than 10 diners on each table, and only one table in each room.  

As of June 11, all 5 districts in Foshan have restricted dine-in services of all restaurants.

Personal Protective Measures

People are encouraged to follow good habits such as wearing masks, washing hands frequently, avoiding crowded places and gatherings. People should keep good indoor ventilation, cover coughs and sneezes and maintain a social distance of more than one meter. When taking public transportation, entering indoor venues or places with poor ventilation, hospitals, please always wear a mask and keep good hand hygiene. In the event of suspicious symptoms, such as fever, cough, fatigue, please go to the designated fever clinic for medical treatment.
